Riot is just laughing and saying “yes, that’s right, Zeri’s skills are a copy of other characters!”

One of the developers referred to comments about Zeri. Rioter decided to make a joke about it.

Zeri is the newest hero in League of Legends. The first mentions of the Zaun’s gunner appeared many months ago. For a long time, no one knew who the mysterious figure would be. Lots of people said the new champion would come from the Arcane animated series. However, this did not happen, and the new heroine turned out to be a young girl with bright hair, who is related to electricity.

It was quickly revealed that Zeri is similar to the new character from Valorant – Neon. Both characters have the same voice actress, are based on neon colors, and are related to electricity.

This, of course, is not the end. As is usually the case with new champion releases, players quickly began to complain that Zeri is a combination of skills that are already in League of Legends. In short – the community accused the creators of copying other characters. What does Riot have to say about this?

Zeri is a copy of the other heroes?

The whole situation related to Zeri was commented on by the famous Rioter – Riot August. He decided that it would be worthwhile to approach the matter with humor. In one of the most recent posts, he decided to address allegations of copying older skills.

It’s true, Zeri’s kit is just A COPY OF OTHER CHARACTERS

As if that was not enough, Rioter has listed all the similarities:

Of course, the entire post is very ironic and is intended to ridicule criticizing comments. These kinds of complaints come with every character, and there will always be people who think Riot has burned out, duplicates old skills, creates boring champions, and so on.

There were people under Rioter’s post who continued the joke and wrote their own ironic comments about Zeri. There were also those who took the entry seriously and tried to debunk it or defend Riot, probably forgetting that they were responding to the post of one of the creators.
