A professional LoL player experienced a bug that caused a match to simply disappear.
Various bugs have been popping up in League of Legends for years, but not every one of them is equally problematic. Minor bugs in animations, textures, or character expressions can’t compare to suspending an entire match, invisible opponents or killing an entire team with a single click. And unfortunately, such situations have happened in the past, and there are probably players who remember them very well.
Recently, one professional LoL player, a former world champion, experienced a shocking error that made his match simply disappear. How did it happen?
Azir’s serious bug in LoL
Kim “Doinb” Tae-sangen is a professional League of Legends player, who many people associate with the FunPlus Phoenix team, which won the World Championship a couple of years ago.
A few days ago, the Korean experienced a rather serious bug in the game, which made it not only impossible to do anything during the game, but the match itself disappeared from the history in the client. The streamer was warned about the error in chat moments before it occurred. Tae-sangen was initially skeptical but it quickly changed.
Doinb joined the flex queue with some of his friends and chose Azir. Everything was going well until the 24th minute of the match when finally the player decided to perform a W-E-Q combo. According to those gathered in the chat, this should not be done, as the results could be lamentable. The streamer quickly found out.
As soon as the player performed the combo, everything on the screen crashed. What’s more – his teammates also felt the effects of the bug. Not knowing what to do, the streamer left the game, only to realize that this one was not recorded in his match history. He said in disbelief:
