Did Bel’Veth’s nerfs in LoL affect her ban rate? She is still far from the record

Despite Bel’Veth’s nerfs, players still find her strong and exclude her from 70% of matches.

The Empress of the Void is a relatively new heroine to League of Legends and is not even a month old on official servers. During this time, her ban rate has remained at a really high level.

The nerfs that were launched on June 30 did not help either. However, it is still far from the record, especially when looking at Aphelios’ 223% Ban Rate.

Bel’Veth’s nerfs didn’t help

Usually, new characters in League of Legends are either too strong or too weak. It is rare that the developers introduce a well-balanced character to the game. If you add irritating skills to the mixture, then it comes to situations like today where Bel’Veth doesn’t play in more than half of the matches.

Since hotfix 12.12b, where the Empress had not only her basic stats nerfed, but also two skills – “E” and “R”, her ban rate has changed slightly. Above platinum, she is still banned in 70% of matches.

However, when it comes to Win Rate, it is much worse here. Before the patch, she won over 52% of matches, and now… it is only 48.8%. This presumably means that players don’t consider the character OP, but don’t like her per se. Perhaps also a large number of them did not pay attention to the nerfs and are still sure that this one is too strong.

However, it is still far from the ban record. The highest Ban Rate so far reached Aphelios on the Korean server and it was 223%. This means that he was banned in every game by two teams.
