Buffs and nerfs of 10 items appeared on PBE. Changes that could change the meta in LoL

Several items on the test server received changes.


The developers decided to change a few frequently used items in LoL. Interestingly, despite the assurances that in-game damage will be lowered, we can see many AD buffs.

In total, as many as 10 different classes of items will undergo smaller or larger changes. Perhaps the Black Cleaver, which has not been used too often, or the Ravenous Hydra, will return to the meta.

Items’ buffs and nerfs

In League of Legends, apart from various heroes, items also play an important role. It mostly depends on them whether the mage will not take you off the map with one hit or you will be able to eliminate the armored tank.

However, they need a good balance which makes them accessible to players and they don’t choose anything else. This time Riot Games tests the buffs or nerfs of several items. Here’s what was put on the PBE:

  • Sterak’s Gage
    • [Removed] No longer gives flat AD
    • [Removed] Passive: Bloodlust
    • [Updated] Lifeline Passive: Shield changed from [100 shield (increased by 8% of max Health | 4.8% for ranged heroes) per Bloodlust stack] to [shield for 75% Bonus Health]
    • [New] Passive: The Claws That Catch: Grants 40% base damage as bonus AD.

    • [New] If the shield is activated, it generates 12% Omnivamp until the end of the fight.

  • Hexdrinker

  • Death’s Dance
    • [Nerf] Passive Ignore Pain: Changed ignored damage from [35% (melee) | 15% (range)] to [30% (melee) | 10% (range)].
