Update 12.10 has significantly influenced what League of Legends gameplay looks like. Riot modified every champion in LoL to increase their durability, and players began experimenting with items, just like every time when similar changes are made.
Some time ago, you could read about the combination of Frostfire Gauntlet with BotRK, which replaced Divine Sunderer. This time, the players went one step further.
What does the new combo look like?
Fans used BoTRK again, but this time they combined it with Sunfire Aegis – one of the most popular mythical items designed for tanks. The combination seems relatively strange – on the one hand, it is an item for heroes who are characterized by having a lot of resistance, and on the other for those who rely on dealing damage with basic attacks.
The aforementioned combo has a really high selection and win rate on a large number of characters that rely on auto-attacks. According to the statistics, this is the best building path for heroes such as Master Yi, Yone or even Renekton, among others.
In the case of Yone, this build was even applied by Gen.G’s mid laner Jeong “Chovy” Ji-hoon in the first game against Nongshi RedForce in the LCK 2022 Summer Split.
The real power of this combo comes from the combination of two abilities that increase both damage and survivability when the hero’s skills renew.

For Master Yi, the recent buffs played a role and made his win rate really high. Even after the hotfixes, BoTRK together with Sunfire seem to perfectly eliminate the weaknesses of this champion.
As a late game carry, the BoTRK and Sunfire provide the hero with a high power spike, better dueling capabilities, and resistance, which comes in handy when you want to immerse yourself in teamfights.
