With a lot of bikini streamers are on Twitch, people get banned for a 2007 video.
The multitude of streamers and a mass of videos online means that Twitch sometimes makes strange decisions, depending on a whole lot of different factors. The effect of this is that streamers can get permanent bans for watching something in which no 18+ scenes appear at all.
So why are there bans for the 2007 video? Well, it’s about how it was shot and what it depicts. The case was publicized by one of the streamers, who was banned for it, permanently as well.
Ban for an old video
It is true that the streamer has already been unbanned, but only because the matter became media coverage. Now streamers who watch this video are trolling and thus risking bans. And people watch it because, in theory, there’s nothing wrong with it.
But only in theory, because in practice, it is “suggestive content” according to Twitch. Anyway, YouTube also originally imposed restrictions on it. The point is simply that activities are shown here that “suggest” certain things. And this Twitch does not allow.
The bans will probably be removed, as in the case of “Darius”, but you can cause these streamers a lot of trouble and stress. Twitch ban permanently for it, not for 24 hours or 3 days.
