It is already known who will play the main characters of the upcoming live-action Lilo and Stitch.

This year, Disney fans can expect Lilo and Stitch as a live-action remake.

Disney never ceases to surprise. The label has been working on live-action remakes of its most popular titles for some time now, so far we’ve seen such productions as Cinderella, The Lion King, Dumbo, and Mulan in theaters.

And it looks like the coming year is not only the year of The Little Mermaid, which will premiere on May 26, 2023. Disney announced some time ago that Lilo and Stitch will also get its five minutes, and now it’s clear about the actors involved in the production.

Who will play the main characters?

It is known that the titular Lilo and Stitch are the main characters of the series, and they are the most talked about. And although not much is known about the live-action version of the film, we could already get acquainted with the main cast of the film, which is quite interesting.

The role of Lilo, a little girl who meets a blue alien – Stitch – whom she befriends, will be played by 7-year-old Maia Kealoha, a Hawaiian actress for whom Lilo and Stitch will be the first film in which the young actress will appear. It must be said, however, that Maia is perfect for the title role of Lilo.

The role of Lilo’s older sister Nani will be played by 22-year-old Sydney Agudong, a Filipino-Hawaiian actress who may be associated with such titles as On My Block, Find Millie Martin, and NCIS.

However, when it comes to Stitch, the curious celestial alien who has decided to come to Earth, this one, according to sources, is to be given the voice of Chris Sanders again, who could be heard in the original animated show.

Lilo and Stitch’s live-action is scheduled for 2024, so we have to be patient. Knowing Disney, however, you can expect there’s plenty to look forward to.
