The Internet has just been abuzz with new information that has emerged about the Harry Potter series.
Harry Potter needs no introduction to anyone. One of the most famous universes around the world, which has lived to see a mass of films and screen adaptations, and the fans themselves make up a huge part of the globe. Now there is to be a brand new, separate Harry Potter series.
For some, it’s a dream come true, for others a belated April Fools’ Day joke, but yes – sources say HBO is planning to produce a Harry Potter series. Bloomberg was the first to report the news.

Details at this point are not known. What is known is that as many as 7 seasons will appear. Each is to correspond to each book in the series by author J.K Rowling. And interestingly – the author herself has expressed her willingness to cooperate and wants to be involved in its production, “to make sure that the series stays true to its original material.”
The series is set to appear on HBO Max, and from what is known, Warner Bros is already close to signing all the documents and contracts to make the whole project happen. Interestingly, however, despite the fact that J.K. Rowling herself will be the overseer of the entire concept of the series, she… will not become the showrunner. However, looking at the fact that HBO has been making only good moves lately, fans should not worry and wait for more details on the subject.
