In the video, which is several minutes long, the actress tells us how she managed to get the role and talks about her experiences on the set, and about things that are rather difficult to see at first glance when watching the series.
Among other things, Jenna mentioned a rather interesting request made to her by Tim Burton, who is the main director of Wednesday. Namely, the idea is that the actress should…. simply stop blinking.
At one point during the first weeks of shooting, I recorded a shot in which I didn’t blink at all. And Tim later said: “I don’t want you to blink at all.” As for that blinking, the thing is that I didn’t even realize I wasn’t doing it. It just happened that way.
So it seems that the case with Wednesday’s blinking is a mere coincidence that turned out to be a hit. Many fans of the series immediately noticed that the dark heroine doesn’t do this, which makes her even more disturbing, which is as it should be.
