Changes to the season 3 finale of The Mandalorian. All because of a conflict with The Last of Us on HBO

The Mandalorian and The Last of Us. In theory, completely two separate titles that have nothing to do with each other. And yet…

One might wonder what tangent these two titles have that they collide with each other. Not only are the universes quite different, but so are the film studios.

The answer is very simple. Both series feature an actor who plays major and very important roles in each of them, without him neither TLOU nor Mandalorian can do without. That’s why there was a problem with the season 3 finale of the latter title.

What changes occurred in the last episode?

The final episode of Mandalorian season 3 took place a few days ago. The creators on this occasion decided to throw in a tidbit that made the series finale different, all because of Pedro Pascal’s feature in The Last of Us on HBO.

Fans of The Mandalorian know very well that the character very rarely pulls off his helmet and usually prefers to cover his face. He only takes off his head covering when something important is happening or he feels the need to do so. Unfortunately not in season 3, and this is mainly due to the fact that Pedro Pascal spent most of his recording time in Canada, where he was preparing for his role as Joel in The Last of Us.

The same was true for the final episode of The Mandalorian, in which, according to the script, the character was supposed to take off his helmet, and fans were finally supposed to see his face. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen due to the absence of Pedro Pascal, who has played the role of Dina Djarin so far. The changes were recently announced by Jeff Sneider in The Hot Mic.

It must be said that Pedro Pascal is one of the busiest actors as of 2021. Not surprisingly, he arranges his “schedule” in such a way as to set his most important projects first. And as we hear, The Last of Us has been Pascal’s top priority when it comes to the film schedules he’s been involved in so far.
