Preview of March Community Day in Pokemon GO – what Pokemon will appear?

The creators revealed which Pokemon will be associated with the next Community Day in Pokemon GO.

Niantic revealed who will be the hero of March Community Day. What’s more interesting – this time Community Day will cover two forms of a given Pokemon genre. All this is thanks to the introduction of a new region – Alola, which is inspired by Hawaii. Interesting creatures can be found on the Allolan islands, both those that only appear there and those well-known from previous generations, but in a slightly different form.

The main character of March Community Day will be Sandshrew, a creature originally introduced in Generation I, which has its Alolan version. Both varieties differ not only in appearance but also in type. Sandshrew from Kanto is a ground type Pokemon, while its Alolan relative – ice and steel types.

The upcoming Community Day will start on March 13 (Sunday) at 11:00 am and will last until 5:00 pm.

  • Sandshrew and Alolan Sandshrew will appear more often in the wild. Anyone who is lucky will find the shiny version.
  • A Sandshrew evolved during or up to 2 hours after the event will give a Sandslash who knows the Night Slash attack.
  • Alolan Sandshrew evolved during or up to 2 hours after the event will give rise to Alolan Sandslash who knows the Shadow Claw attack.
  • Special Research – “Gritty and Glacial” will be available for ticket holders.
  • After taking the photo, there will be some surprises.
  • A free pack of 30 Ultra Balls will be available in the store.
  • There will be new themed stickers from PokeStops, gifts, and in the store.
  • The store will offer a disposable box for 1280 PokeCoins, which will contain:
    • 30 x Ultra Ball,
    • 3 x Super Incubator,
    • 5 x Lucky Egg,
    • 1 x Elite Charged TM.

Various bonuses will be active on Community Day:

  • Incense activated during the event will run for three hours.
  • Lure activated during the event will run for three hours.
  • The distance needed to hatch an egg will be reduced to 1/4.
