Blizzard has made the decision to completely exclude Hammond (Wrecking Ball) from Overwatch 2.
The Overwatch 2 beta is still running, and as it happens in testing, something went wrong. Players have found that by playing as Hammond they are able to completely crash the game. It was very easy to do, and Blizzard made the decision to temporarily disable the character.
The streamer “Super” showed what it looked like in practice. It was his clip that became so popular that it finally reached Blizzard:

Turning off the character is the final and the fastest solution to the problem. This can be expected to be fixed soon. The following message appeared on official Overwatch social media:
Beta is there to check and fix everything. Such errors will happen and it is worth knowing about them. It is not known when the Wrecking Ball will be back in the game, but it can be expected rather soon.
