Overwatch 2 has lost nearly half of its audience on Twitch. But it’s still much better than with Fortnite

Overwatch 2 is holding up great on the one hand, but on the other it is losing a lot.

With Blizzard it’s incredibly easy to impose a negative narrative, so let’s start with the positive news. After switching to a free2Play model, Overwatch 2 became the 8th best “selling” game in the world. The first month translated into a total of 35 million registered accounts.

This is a huge success, which was to be expected. Along with it came very good results on Twitch or video views on Youtube, as well as the popularity of social media. Now comes the verification of the first craze.

Declines to be expected

Overall Overwatch 2 on Twitch is doing well, although it is facing declines. Recall that in the last two weeks there was an event, in which you could, among other things, claim a free Winston skin.

Drops extend the lifespan of Overwatch 2 on Twitch, while, in the last week, the game experienced a significant drop.

Overall, from a 30-day perspective, OW2 has gained a lot – more drops are about to start, so the situation will probably improve again.

Of course, xQc is very much raising the Overwatch audience, and so does the Fextralife channel.

Overwatch 2 generally maintains a good position in the world. 6th place, even with drops of 45%, is a really satisfactory result.

Suffice it to mention that such Fortnite has fallen out of the TOP and is currently in 12th place.
