In yesterday’s update, Blizzard not only added a new Sombra skin. It also removed two maps from Quickplay.
Blizzard unofficially made several approaches to somehow change the Lunar Colony and Paris. The maps were to undergo a few changes, an internal rework that eventually led to their removal from Overwatch.
The “2CP” maps are set to be replaced by the brawl, and so both Paris and the Horizon Lunar Colony yesterday disappeared from Quickplay and “Linked Modes”.
This is the official removal of these maps from QuickPlay
Some are happy, others complain that these locations had a lot of potential – that is, as always in Overwatch, everyone has a slightly different view of the matter.
Blizzard is unlikely to change its mind – although who knows, in the last few dozen months, many decisions have been made, which were then changed.
