The announcement of a new season – Mythical Wishes – in Pokemon GO. Everything you need to know

The developers of Pokemon GO have announced the attractions and bonuses that will hit the game with season 9.

The next season in Pokemon GO is approaching. Mythical Wishes will launch on December 1. Various attractions and bonuses are planned for the occasion. What exactly will hit the game? Which creatures will appear in the wild, and which will hatch from eggs? Here is a list of the most important information.

Mythical Wishes in Pokemon GO

The new season in Pokemon GO will begin on Thursday, December 1, 2022 and run until Wednesday, March 1, 2023.

Seasonal Bonuses

The following bonuses will now be permanently in effect.

  • Guaranteed Gifts from PokéStop spins
  • Increased Incense effectiveness while moving

During this season, the following bonuses will be active.

  • Increased damage for Pokémon participating in raids remotely
  • Trainers level 31+ receive a guaranteed 1 XL Candy for each trade
  • All Trainers receive 1 additional Candy for each trade
  • Trainers can open 40 Gifts daily
  • Trainers can send 125 Gifts daily

What do you wish for, Trainer? During three different events over the course of the Season, Trainers can make their wishes come true by selecting a bonus from three different Timed Research tasks. The bonus will be in addition to existing event bonuses. Trainers can pick from one of the following options during these events:

  • 1/2 Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed into Incubators during the event period
  • 2× XP for catching Pokémon
  • 2× Stardust for catching Pokémon

These Timed Research tasks will be active at the following events:

  • Winter Holiday part 2,
  • Lunar New Year,
  • Valentine’s Day.

Research Breakthrough

Complete Field Research to unlock Research Breakthrough encounters with one of the following Pokémon.

For the first time in Pokémon GO, you’ll be able to encounter Shiny Galarian Mr. Mime—if you’re lucky!

  • Galarian Mr. Mime
  • Delibird
  • Bagon
  • Deino
  • Furfrou
  • Goomy

Pokemon XXS i XXL coming soon

Trainers have found that a few Pokémon may appear in previously undiscovered sizes: XXS and XXL!

Will you be able to encounter and catch these elusive Pokémon and break your own records?

The following Pokémon will appear in the wild:

  • Cities:
    • Pidgey, Meowth, Alolan Grimer, Granbull, Gulpin, Patrat, Lillipup.
  • Forests:
    • Venonat, Victreebel, Scyther, Cottonee, Morelull.
  • Mountains:
    • Ponyta, Rhydon, Pupitar, Makuhita, Drilbur, Archen, Rufflet.
  • Water:
    • Poliwhirl, Goldeen, Vaporeon, Clamperl, Tirtouga, Inkay, Mareanie.

Pokémon exclusive to hemispheres:

  • Northern hemisphere:

    • Spinarak, Castform, Beldum, Turtwig, Chimchar, Piplup, Pidove.
  • Southern hemisphere:
    • Ledyba, Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, Castform, Starly, Gible.

The following Pokémon will hatch from the eggs:

  • 2 km Eggs:

  • 5 km Eggs:
