LoL players disagree with repeating RNG game from MSI. “I want to play my season 1 game again”
Riot made a controversial decision to repeat 3 RNG games. LoL fans disagree with this.
An unusual situation occurred during the currently ongoing, second most important tournament in League of Legends: Mid-Season Invitational. Riot Games has decided that the three RNG games will be repeated.
This decision caused a great deal of controversy and a large part of the community does not agree with it. They are demanding a new button to the client so that they can also repeat their matches.
RNG games being repeated
On Friday, May 13, an important statement appeared on the official LoL Esports Twitter profile. It turned out that the matches of the Chinese organization Royal Never Give Up played during the first 3 days of the tournament are canceled and will be repeated. The reason is supposed to be “game lag discrepancy”. All because RNG players are playing from the Busan arena.
Immediately after this decision, a lot of negative comments appeared in the chat. The community laughed that professional gamers are not able to play at 35 ms and this is a big problem for them. During the games, virtually the entire chat was obsessed with such comments.
Fans noticed that the team should not even be admitted to the tournament. They do not play in a designated place, but in a completely different arena, they do not have cameras available from the players’ view and are “still complaining about ping”.

On Reddit, there were additional posts from ordinary players who mockingly criticized the decision to repeat games. The community expects Riot to add a “replay games” option to the ranked queue if one player’s ping is higher than the other players’ ping. One of the topics became extremely popular and gathered over 7,000 positive votes in less than 22 hours.
In short, the player described his game with Morgana, in which he did 0/13/2 and had ping problems. He couldn’t hit “Q” and the enemy Nautilus was pulling him from strange distances. Of course, this is about delay issues. For this reason, he demands that the game be repeated. The commentators say the same. They provide screenshots from the first seasons and also think Riot should take care of it so they can get the promo back.
Of course, this is satire, but it shows that the players do not quite agree with the decision to repeat RNG’s games. While it’s impossible to undo it, perhaps the creators of League of Legends will know what they’re up to in the future.
