A fan project from LoL – Star Guardian Seraphine. The heroine styled as Sailor Moon
Two players created an interesting skin design that refers to a well-known anime.
Star Guardian is a series that is very popular among League of Legends fans. The first skin with this theme was released quite a long time ago, and it was Star Guardian Lux. Even then, some people noticed that the skin’s atmosphere resembled the magical girls’ theme, which appeared in many famous anime, incl. Sailor Moon, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, and Tokyo Mew Mew.
The release of more skins from this series only confirmed the assumptions of fans, because Riot’s cinematic – Burning Bright – was kept in an anime style, and five girls fought evil as magical heroines.
Two League of Legends players thought that Seraphine, one of the characters from the game, is the perfect candidate for the next skin from the Star Guardian series. What’s more – their design refers to a really popular anime.
The idea for the skin – Star Guardian Seraphine
Sailor Moon is for many people the title of childhood and the first anime they have saw. Lots of people warmly recall the main character – Usagi Tsukino (the title character) and her blonde hair, combed in a characteristic way.
Two artists – Richydraws and Emriikun – said it would be a great idea to create a fan skin for Seraphine that would refer to one of the most popular anime with a magical girl theme.
The artists designed a model of the heroine in the game, an icon, an emote and a polished splash art. Everything looks really good. And the artwork depicting the skin even has a hidden twist – Star Guardian Ahri and Neeko can be seen in the distance.
Another Seraphine fan skin design shows that the heroine can get a lot of interesting skins that will refer to famous titles in an interesting way. According to fans of the character, there is a fairly good chance that Riot will actually release Star Guardian Seraphine, as they think the theme suits her perfectly.
