Epic celebrates the new year in a rather sparing way, and it will be the same this time.
The new year in Fortnite is not some big event. Epic has never prepared for it in any particular way. In fact, it’s almost like the developers approach it in an “it’s the new year so we might as well do something” style.
Therefore, don’t expect anything amazing, other than the standard annual fireworks display and momentary interruptions in combat.
The new year 2023 in Fortnite
The course of the whole event is quite simple. Every hour a disco ball will appear in Fortnite. Players will get a dancing effect, which they will not be able to interrupt in any way.
There’s no information on possible rewards for regular players, but it’s possible that something will still come up, so it’s still worth getting into the game on December 31. At one time, people got a free glider, but Epic hasn’t practiced that for years.
This glider was obtained during the new year and you had to perform a simple task to receive it.
