The heavy shotgun in Fortnite is actually more powerful than the sniper rifle. At least for now

The first hours after the return of the heavy shotgun are quite… surprising.

The Heavy Shotgun has returned to Fortnite and can be found in both regular and ranked game modes. The community quickly noticed that the shotgun can be very positively surprised in specific situations.

Everyone expected that, with the Heavy Shotgun, damage of 9-20 would come back as well. However, one of that happened, at least not now. Currently, it is quite the opposite.

Better than a sniper rifle?

If you actually have time to aim, the shotgun can be very strong, maybe too strong, according to Twitter. There is already talk about possible nerf. Why? This is best shown in a short video:

This damage can really surprise both the person who has the shotgun in his hand and the opponent, who begins to wonder if maybe he just got a shot not from a shotgun, but from a sniper rifle.

Of course, this is a very accurate shot – and this happens relatively rarely in normal gameplay. Usually, the opponents are very mobile and we are not able to target them in this way.
