Skill matching in Fortnite has changed. How to get much easier opponents?

Fortnite

The Fortnite community has realized that Epic has changed the so-called SBMM or Skill Based Matchmaking.

In the last update of Fortnite, there were several changes to the core of the gameplay. According to the Epic community, it was about matching players by skill. Specifically, the number of bots that appear in specific games has been changed.

This is not the first and probably not the last time that Epic changes anything in this system. No wonder, after all, the non-building mode had to somehow affect the stats inside the game.

What changed?

According to unconfirmed information, at this point SBMM has three stages:

  • Lowest level – 75 bots (weakest or new players)
  • Medium level – 65/30 bots
  • The highest level – 15 bots

In the build mode, building itself has the greatest impact on the number of bots. The faster you build, the tougher opponents you get.

For example, you can have a high elims, but if you place 10 walls per game, you’ll stay at the lower level.

Of course, this is different in the non-building mode. Here, the amount of liquidation naturally matters. It’s good to know that SBMM doesn’t switch from Build Mode to Without Build Mode. This means you can have a small number of bots in build and very little in no-build mode.
