Players will be able to claim Fortnite cosmetics when purchasing Fortnite x Marvel: Zero War comics

Epic Games is giving away cosmetics to Fortnite in cooperation with Marvel.

Epic Games in cooperation with Marvel will soon release new comics. They will feature superheroes such as Spider-Man or Wolverine. Additionally, each part will contain a unique code for a given cosmetic item.

However, players will have to wait a little longer for the comics. The first of five will not be available until June 8, which is over a month from now. Is it worth waiting for them and what skins and other add-ons will be available?

Fortnite x Marvel comics: Zero War

The Fortnite developers have just informed the community about the upcoming Fortnite x Marvel comic book series: Zero War.

A fragment of the Zero Point has ended up in the Marvel Universe, so worlds collide as the hunt for the Zero Shard begins. Follow the story in the new, five-issue comic book series Fortnite x Marvel: Zero War!

They will be released both in a digital version (in the Marvel Comics application and as part of the Marvel Unlimited service) and in paper. Additionally, each of them, regardless of the version, will have a code for Fortnite cosmetic content. The first part will be available on June 8 with a skin based on Spider-Man.

Those who redeem all five cosmetic items will unlock an additional Outfit that will be granted in-game. (This Outfit will also be available for purchase in the Item Shop.)

Marvel Unlimited subscriber? The five issues of Fortnite x Marvel: Zero War will be available on Marvel Unlimited at the release of the final issue in stores (September 28, 2022). For a limited time, paid Marvel Unlimited subscribers with a registered account who read all five issues will unlock a code for the five cosmetic items PLUS the additional Outfit mentioned above.

Epic Games has given several ways to get cosmetic items. Here’s how you can get them:

  • Purchase an issue (first-print edition) of a Fortnite x Marvel: Zero War comic from your local comic store. The issue will contain one unique code for its associated Fortnite cosmetic item.
  • Purchase an issue of a Fortnite x Marvel: Zero War comic (up until December 31, 2023) from the Marvel Comics app. The issue will contain one unique code for its associated Fortnite cosmetic item.
  • Marvel Unlimited: Paid subscribers with a registered account who read all five issues on Marvel Unlimited (up until October 28, 2022) will receive an email with a code for six cosmetic items — the five cosmetic items associated with the comic issues PLUS the additional Outfit mentioned above.
  • For cosmetic items that will also be available in the Fortnite Item Shop at a later date, you can purchase them directly from the Item Shop with V-Bucks.

Fortnite x Marvel: Zero War issues will launch day-and-date in Andorra, Argentina, Austria, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Czech Republic, France, French Belgium, Germany, Greece, Holland, Hungary, Italy, Monaco, Poland, Portugal, Russia, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, the United States, and Vatican City.

The issues will be available in other South American countries whose primary language is Spanish, but day-and-date releases in these countries are not guaranteed.

The implementation of unique code is extremely easy:

  • Visit fortnite.com/redeem.
  • Sign into your Epic Games account.
    • Verify that you are logged into the correct account. You’ll see your display name in the upper-right corner of the screen.
  • Enter the code into the “ENTER ACCESS CODE” text field.
  • Select “REDEEM.”
  • Verify the item you are redeeming and select “ACTIVATE.”
  • Launch Fortnite with the same Epic account.
  • Upon loading in, you will receive a gift box showing your unlocked item. You can select “EQUIP” or “CLAIM” to close. The item will then be available in your Locker.
