Epic has officially announced that Fortnite’s system requirements will change from Season 2, Chapter 4.
It’s no surprise that Fortnite, as technology evolves, wants to take advantage of these latest developments while ditching the old ones. This involves, sadly or unfortunately, a change in the requirements of the production itself.
This time, however, it’s not about changes related to the hardware players have, but about the system. Epic is dropping support for older systems, and from the new season only one will be in effect.
With this you will not play anymore
If for some reason you still have Windows 7 or 8, you will not play Fortnite from season 2 of chapter 4. Not to mention Windows XP etc. Official support will be provided by Windows 10 or higher.
This is important because the end of support means the inability to play. If you want to play with Windows 8, Fortnite will show information about unavailability.
The change will be implemented next season. So everyone can still adjust to it and change to a newer system.
