Fortnite players were very surprised that the skins from the Crew pack will return in the future and will not be unique
Epic yesterday mentioned that January’s Crew pack is leaving Fortnite “for now”. The players were very surprised by this.
The Fortnite Crew is associated with skins, which are commonly considered unique – after all, you have to pay extra for them. That’s why yesterday’s news from Epic surprised many people.
Developers mentioned that January’s Pack is disappearing “for the moment”, hinting that it will probably return in the future. A lot of people started to wonder what was going on here.
Shiina, one of the leakers, confirms that the Crew Packs may be returning in the future, but this is nothing new.
Yes, the packs will be coming back
Already at the premiere of the Fortnite Crew, Epic clearly stated in its Q&A that the skins would be available only to subscription subscribers, but they could return:
“The Crew packs and the items they contain are for Fortnite Crew subscribers only. Previously posted items may be redistributed to Crew members at a later date. They will never be offered to non-subscribers, nor will they be transferred to them.”
So it’s very possible that at some point Epic will start releasing older skins based on their popularity. It is not known whether there will be two packs to pick up at the same time, or maybe just an old skin will come back and that will be it.
So far, there has been no such situation, but it is possible. Nobody has ever hidden it, so the surprise of the players is at least puzzling. It seems people just forgot about it.
