In total, several things have been introduced into Fortnite that very much resemble mechanics from Overwatch.
Overwatch is not a particularly popular game, and this is true even despite the release of “two”. However, many people are familiar with the mechanics that are present in Blizzard’s production, including, for example, the very distinctive shields that were somewhat of a nail in the coffin with OW1.
A hammer that resembles Reinhardt’s hammer in some ways has already been introduced into Fortnite, and now a huge shield has been added as well. This quickly became a cause for jokes.
Fortnite, or Overwatch 2?
Gamers, more specifically a Reddit user with the nickname “NightTrapGamerYT,” combined the interface from Overwatch 2 with the one from Fortnite. Of course, it’s done lopsidedly, but quite amusingly.
What does it look like? Say for yourself.
Naturally, this cannot be taken as any kind of announcement of cooperation. Fortnite is unlikely to have any interest in any cooperation with Blizzard. Besides, the developers of Overwatch are unlikely to be eager for such actions.
