Fortnite broke down completely yesterday. You can see enemies on the minimap, friendly fire is turned on, total chaos

Something strange happened yesterday in Fortnite. Epic apparently tested something, because their production broke down for some reason.

Fortnite rarely breaks this way. Usually, if Epic’s production already has any problems, the point is that the servers are down. It is rare that any functions are suddenly turned on or off for no reason.

Especially since yesterday was Thursday – there was no update, Epic had nothing planned and suddenly weird features were turned on that completely changed Fortnite.

After these few hours, it is still unknown what exactly happened and why. There are tons of videos on Youtube at the moment about people playing in bugged lobbies. This was reportedly fixed, but Epic did not address it at all.

Evidently, the developers were testing something. Maybe it was about a mode or larger changes to Fortnite itself? It was definitely one of the weirdest nights in all of Fortnite.
