Epic uncharacteristically confirms the upcoming map change in the next Fortnite update

Epic is hardly in the habit of announcing map changes, and yet for some reason, it has now been done.

Thanks to Epic itself, we currently know two things. One is the date of the next major update. No one will be surprised by the fact that it will take place 2 weeks after October 20, i.e. on the following Tuesday – July 5, 2022. The technical break will probably start at 4 am ET.

Epic for some reason also announced one change on the map, which is to take place during this break. The developers have never done this before, so apparently, it’s more than just changing locations or adding a new one.

What did Epic announce?

Thanks to leakers, we know that there is an unreleased spot in the files called “The Tower”. Now it is also known where it will be placed. On July 5, it will appear in the temple between Rocky Reels and The Joneses.

Epic itself writes that they are informing about this in advance so that players can prepare. The only question is what is it all about and why has it never been done this way before? Maybe it has to do with the gameplay, or maybe the developers will communicate better in the area of upcoming changes in the future?

At the moment, it is known that a new spot will appear in Fortnite, which can significantly affect the gameplay. Details are still unknown.
