Epic reveals surprising information about Fortnite players. They spend half their time in…
Epic, more specifically Tim Sweeney, the CEO of the company, shared quite surprising information about the preferences of Fortnite players.
Fortnite players are considered predictable when it comes to their preferences. Everyone believes that Battle Royale is number one, No Building is number two, then Side Modes, and finally Creative. But it’s just not true.
It turns out that players are increasingly departing from normal Fortnite gameplay and choosing maps and modes created by themselves. This is why Epic wants to devote more and more time to the creative mode.
50% of players don’t play BR at all
It turns out that half of the players choose not BR or no building mode, but the creative mode. At the moment, “Creative” takes 50% of the time the community spends on Fortnite.
This is quite surprising information, as the opinion among players is that most play the creative mode for a moment and hardly anyone stays there longer. And here it turns out that this is actually Fortnite’s main strength alongside the normal BR modes and the one without building.
As Tim replies in one of the interviews for the “fastcompany” website, this year the creative mode will be further modernized.
This could be a very big change when it comes to Fortnite, its future and the opportunities that will emerge. It is virtually certain that players will create maps that compete with what Epic is proposing.
