Epic is slacking with adding lightsabers as pickaxes in Fortnite, so players did it themselves

For some time now, leaks have been saying that lightsabers will enter Fortnite, probably in the form of pickaxes.

There has been a lot of talk in recent weeks about the lightsabers returning to Fortnite. It is worth mentioning that Epic has recently updated not only swords but also many cosmetic items closely related to the Star Wars universe.

We had the premiere of Boba Fett, but the swords did not appear in the end. The players, fed up with waiting, took matters into their own hands, creating animations for swords that could be collectors.

What could it look like?

The Reddit user “SibUniverse” showed his proposal, showing the early stage of work on adding a collector functionality to the sword.

Is there any potential in it? Absolutely, although it is not known whether Epic will eventually follow this path. Developers may have a different vision for this, or it has just been decided somewhere along the way that swords should remain separate items, intended only for periodic restoration with special modes.
