Epic is responding to the Fortnite V-Bucks exploit. Will players get away with it?
Epic just yesterday released a message that directly confirms that developers will be tracking all transactions.
Yesterday Epic lost a lot of money, at least in theory. Probably everyone has come across a video about the “V-Bucks exploit” at least once. At 99.9%, it never works, but it did work this time. Yesterday, for several minutes, players were able to “buy” 600 V-Bucks for amusingly low prices.
As a result, people recharged over 100,000 V-Bucks. HYPEX – the most popular leaker, for example, took advantage of this method. Sam says he managed to get 112,000 V-Bucks, on which he spent about $ 90.
Leaker writes that it is not his fault and does not expect to receive a ban.
What does Epic say about this?
There were two exploits in total, but it does not matter what they were based on. What matters now is that players who bought these items did not get them. All because Epic is reviewing all purchases and will likely try to take away V-Bucks collected this way.
The messages on this subject also changed. The former was about Epic tracking transactions:
But there is nothing directly on Twitter about being followed. In theory, 7 hours ago, everything was fixed and the items were awarded, but still a lot of people just don’t have them.
It’s hard to say whether people will get away with it all. Rather, there will be no bans for it, but who knows.
