Epic has officially partnered with LEGO, and this could be very important news for Fortnite
Epic and LEGO have announced a great long-term partnership. The messages talk the most about augmented reality – Metaverse, but this is still important information for everyone who plays Fortnite.
Metaversum is easiest to describe as Pokemon GO – you have augmented reality, you are able to display virtual characters “in your world”, etc. This is where Epic wants to go. It is not yet known what it should look like, but there is already talk of building LEGO bricks in the Fortnite world.
But there is still a long way to go for this to happen, so we need to think about what the Epic and LEGO partnership means at the moment. The first thought is, of course, the brick sets, the second, LEGO skins in Fortnite itself.
Epic x LEGO
Interestingly enough, Epic points out that they care most about creating space for the youngest. LEGO has a similar approach.
Epic’s message shows that the cooperation with LEGO is starting and is to cover the space around the Metaverse. But it doesn’t really say much to anyone, so in simpler language:
- A project by Epic with LEGO is being created, and it is intended mainly for the youngest
- This cooperation offers various possibilities for Fortnite, i.e. LEGO sets, Fortnite skins, and other cosmetic items.
At the moment, it is all. More information will probably be available in a few weeks, maybe months.
