Epic accidentally made a very rare item available for Fortnite and withdrew it after 2 hours

Epic scored a slip-up, resulting in a rather rare item hitting the store. The last time it was available for purchase was more than 1,400 days ago.

Such situations are quite unusual. Epic usually does not make items available in the store by accident, and if it does, it does not remove them. Meanwhile, an item that originally came out back in Chapter 1, more specifically, in Season 3, was released to the store today.

There was a lot of controversy surrounding the item, as it was one of the first things with talk of a possible lawsuit. Instead, Epic simply moved the item “to the vault” and never released it again.

Until today

Today, for some unknown reason, the item was available for purchase again.

However, it is nothing that somehow particularly affects gameplay. After all, it’s not about any rare skin, but an emoticon that many people probably didn’t even know existed. Epic itself has apologized for the slip-up.

The “Tidy” emote may come back normally in a while, since some part of the people certainly bought it already. If you don’t know what the item is:

It is interesting that in general the emote was withdrawn so quickly. In theory, its presence was not particularly relevant to Fortnite.
