A breakthrough is coming to Fortnite. Why this update might change everything?

There are changes on the horizon that could truly transform Fortnite and make people see Epic as a platform, not a game.

It has been said for months that Epic is working on allowing Fortnite players to create their own world right in the game. Developers wanted players to create their own unique creations based on the Fortnite concept.

That’s why Epic is actively working on what is known as “Creative 2.0”, which is a second, much more extensive version of Creative Mode. But what would it matter for people who only play Battle Royale?

It will affect everyone

Epic is creating so many new features that it will definitely impact STW or BR players one way or the other. Developers will enable, among others:

  • Creation and implementation of own models
  • Creating your own “events”
  • Particle system management
  • Own animations
  • Game physics management
  • Manage fully all aspects of the storm
  • NPC and AI programming

HYPEX, describing the Creative Mode 2.0, writes that it’s crazy how many options Epic intends to introduce. To understand it well, you would have to list everything, but it doesn’t make much sense at the moment. So you need to know that Fortnite is coming to a completely changed, new version of the creative mode.

In fact, people will be able to create their own versions of Battle Royale or other game modes inside Fortnite. It will be an in-game game, and Epic will definitely want to combine it with BR in some way.

After all, you don’t create such extensive features so that a small percentage of all players use it. Certainly Epic will somehow connect it all, or even promote specific projects.
