Cyberpunk’s engine is REDengine 4. CDPR wanted to be completely independent but paid a fairly high price for it. Many bugs, errors, and glitches could have been avoided if the studio had used ready-made solutions. This, however, came at a high price, perhaps too high.
In any case, gamers show what Cyberpunk 2077 could be if CDPR decided to go with the Unreal Engine. It looks really good, but imperfect as standard.
