Pro player complains about the sound in CSGO. Playing Valve’s FPS can even damage your hearing?

Some sounds in CS: GO can be bothersome. This was noticed by one of the pro players who believes that Valve’s FPS can cause damage to hearing.


Counter-Strike: Global Offensive developers, when creating their FPS, largely paid attention to realism. Some elements of the game were designed as if Valve wanted the player to feel like on the battlefield. We are talking here, for example, about flash grenades, which truly blind and deafen.

In fact, during a session lasting many hours, these are not very pleasant experiences, and the stimuli perceived by the players may lead to a deterioration of their health.

GamerLegion’s team player Zero wrote a few words on his social media about the frequency of the flash grenade sound:

As you can see in the screenshot that posted Zero – the problem has been very common among gamers for a long time;

There is a solution to the above problem, although some players may not be aware of its existence. You just need to turn on Loudness Equalization in the sound settings in the control panel as shown below:

Either way, Valve’s developers should address this issue. Some players may not know how to correct it, while others are certainly unaware of the problem and damage their hearing.
